Frequently

Asked Questions:

When can you start? We can give you an estimate and usually perform the install within 1-2 weeks.

Do you provide the "charger"? Generally, the customer provides the Wall Connector, and we supply all the materials needed for installation, like wire, boxes, and circuit breakers.

How long does it take? Most installs take 2-4 hours. For longer, complex runs and work involving panel upgrades or new panels, it can take up to a full day.

What's the difference between level 1, 2, and 3? Level 1 charging uses a typical 120V outlet and is very slow. Level 2 charging, which we specialize in, uses 220-240V power and provides 35-45 miles of range per hour of charging. Level 3 charging is what you get at commercial supercharging stations.

Can I reuse an existing circuit in my garage/driveway/etc? 90% of the time, no. Most garage and outdoor outlets aren't adequate for the higher amperage needed. If your home is older or hasn't been remodeled in recent years, it likely doesn't have a dedicated circuit ready for EVs.

Do I need to upgrade my main panel? If your panel is 200 amps and you don't rely on heavy electric appliances, probably not. For older homes or homes with less than 150 amp service, an upgrade might be necessary.

"I recently hired Will to install a ChargePoint home charger for our EV. Will did an amazing job and he clearly loves being an electrician! He is very friendly, professional, asks for feedback, and is clearly wants what is best for his customers. He did such a great job on the home charger that my wife and I also hired him to work on two additional electrical projects including installing two outdoor electrical outlets. I highly recommend him."

"Whats funny about this is that with all the contractor options at our fingertips, all the Angi/Thumbtack contacts rolled into one app, none of them are actually neighborhood or “nextdoor”.  So here comes Will, not even sure how exactly I found him on FB marketplace, but it seemed too good to be true. After messaging him several photos, he already knew I was going to ask about EV installation- he is very quick to communicate and very upfront with estimates."

"Will has done 2 Tesla charger installations for me and they both turned out great! He is meticulous in his work and makes sure the job is done right before leaving. His pricing is fair, he shows up on time, and everything works. Five stars! "
